okay this is how it works

users put who want to post commercial videos on youtube
can sell add space because popular videos will pull more
search queries
user ad rates can be based on the average pull of a specific commercial video.

why doesn't the newspaper do the same?
if their readers can view the edition online, won't advertisers pay to reach them?
the paper costs, what? 35¢? 50¢?
everyone is dragging their feet!

what are the startup costs?

if the internet delivers information more effeciently than paper models
(and audiences follow)
by all means, begin to sell adds.
